GENERAL QUESTIONS

Why choose Superflute panels over other brands?

Superflute panels offer premium craftsmanship, modern design, and durability, making them the ideal choice for architectural interiors.

What is the best way to install Superflute panels?

For installation, we recommend using Liquid Nails for secure adhesion to surfaces. For panel joins, use No More Gaps to achieve a seamless finish. If installing curved panels, use fixing nails in addition to Liquid Nails to help maintain the shape. When cutting panels, a circular saw is recommended for precision, followed by light sanding of the cut edge. Once installed, allow everything to fully dry before painting for the best results.

Can I install panels myself, or do you offer installation services?

Our panels are designed for easy DIY installation, with a simple process that allows you to achieve a seamless finish. We do not currently provide installer recommendations.

Can Superflute panels be used near a fireplace?

Superflute panels are decorative and should only be used near a fireplace if the installation complies with Australian building codes and fire safety regulations. Fireplaces must meet state-specific clearance requirements, and non-combustible materials should be used in direct heat exposure areas. We recommend consulting a qualified builder or fire safety expert to ensure compliance before installation.

Do Superflute panels come with a warranty?

Superflute panels do not come with a warranty. However, we ensure high-quality standards in our production process. If you encounter any issues, please contact us.

What paints are suitable for Superflute’s pre-primed panels?

Water-based pre-primed MDF panels are best suited for water-based acrylic paints or latex paints. For a durable finish, we recommend using a high-quality interior paint with a primer if additional adhesion is needed. Always test on a small section before full application.

Can Superflute panels be 2Pac painted?

Yes, Superflute panels can be finished with a 2Pac (polyurethane) paint for a high-end, durable finish. Proper surface preparation, including light sanding and the use of a high-quality primer, is recommended to ensure adhesion and a smooth final result. Always consult with a professional painter for best results.

Is there anything to consider when handling Superflute panels?

Superflute panels are made from MDF, which contains adhesives and resins that may emit low levels of VOCs (volatile organic compounds). While they meet industry safety standards, proper ventilation is recommended during installation. Panels should not be burned or exposed to high heat. Always wear appropriate protective equipment when cutting or sanding to minimize dust inhalation.

PRODUCT MAINTENANCE & CARE

What is the best way to clean Superflute panels?

Use a soft, damp cloth or wet wipes to clean the panels. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish, and ensure any excess moisture is wiped away to maintain the panel's integrity.

Do I need to prepare Superflute panels before painting?

Superflute panels come pre-primed and ready to paint. Simply wipe off any excess dust before applying your preferred paint. No additional priming is required, but multiple coats may be needed for full coverage.

Can panels be sealed for extra durability?

Yes, applying a clear sealant can add extra protection to the panels, especially in high-traffic areas. Use a water-based polyurethane or acrylic sealer to maintain the finish without altering the look.

How do I repair minor scratches or dents on panels?

For small surface scratches, a light sanding followed by touch-up paint can help blend imperfections. For deeper dents or chips, use a wood filler, sand smoothly, and repaint to match the panel's finish.
